What is your fitness plan this weekend?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my rss feed. Thanks for visiting!
I will be using my ValSlidethis weekend and doing a circuit workout from Valerie Waters Red Carpet Ready. My legs are nervous just thinking about it!
I am also doing the 100 Push up Challenge, along with many others here. We are gearing up for a very challenging week #3. I am feeling strong, how about you?
And for those of you training for your fall marathon (Rachel, Fitarella, Nap Warden, JD, who else?), have a great run this weekend! (and please run a mile or two for me, ok? thanks!)
Now gang, how are you going to make your weekend an active one?

Well, today I will cycle to the gym and do 5km on the crross trainer (I;ve injured my leg and can’t run), then I’ll do some free weights and crunches and then I’ll do an hour of Muay Thai sparring. After that I’d like to go swimming or do something fun, but I’ll be cycling over and helping my friend to move house, which I think counts as exercise
Tomorrow I’ll get up early(ish), do the gym followed by a swim and two hours of Muay Thai training and a bit of cycling.

I am waiting for grandma to come over so I can head out and do a 7 mile run (alone!) before it gets too hot. Then soccer practice at noon and a game tonight. I think tomorrow a hike to a cool waterfall may be in order. Lots of happy going on this weekend!

Might take the kids to the pool today. Tomorrow I’m going to an awesome yoga class, and I’m more excited about it than is probably healthy.

I’m training for a half-marathon (my first) in October…does that count?
I went to the gym yesterday and did weights, and tomorrow I’m running 5-8K as a ‘last run’ before a 10K race on Canada Day (Tuesday July 1st). How’s that for active?
I tried the 100 push up challenge but have to start over as my injured hand wasn’t quite ready a couple of weeks ago - so after the race I’ll try again.

MizFit,
Your comment on Toddler Tornado is hilarious!
We have “Brady proofed” our home, making it much easier on us. However, the last two weekends we have gone to houses of relatives and needless to say, we came home early. Our one year-old Brady was wearing us out trying to get into everything!
But what I really wanted to say is I too am doing the One Hundred Push Up Challenge, along with Dylan (http://dylansfootballpics.blogspot.com/), our fifteen year-old son. We tested this morning and I did twenty-seven push ups. Yes! So I am a third of the way there.
Have a good weekend everybody!

I’m away at the beach for a week long vacation (10 adults, 7 kids, 1 house — EEK!) but I’m still planning on week 2 of the push up challenge and I just got back from a 4.5 mile run. Love running on vacation!
Have a great weekend!

Had a very productive weekend….as far as fitness goes anyway! (damn that pile of laundry!) Had a great 4-mile race last night and today got some good core work done. Tomorrow starts week 2 of the 100 push up challenge for me…I really love this challenge, thanks for posting about it!

Here is what I did this weekend:
Saturday-
21 min. Elliptical (1.76 miles)
60 min. Spin class
60+ min. mowing the lawn (4+ miles)
Sunday-
15 min. Elliptical (1.23 miles)
50 min. Spin class
I will have to look at the 100 Push Up Challenge although it’s almost over. My TK instructor had us doing them and I’m not very good at all. I have to do them on my knees and my left wrist is not very strong.
Great job on your workouts everyone. Very inspiring.

First off… I love your blog… My routine will be lighter than most of your other commentors. I hace a Soccer tournament and Volleyball this coming weekend. I may also throw in a 3 mile run through our village.
Have a wonderful day!
