    By workoutmommy | May 12, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my rss feed. Thanks for visiting!

It’s Monday gang, which means it is time for another round of move it Monday! Let’s shake off that weekend and get a fresh and active start on our week.

This week we are doing mountain climbers, an excellent exercise that can be done anywhere & anytime. No equipment is necessary and you will get your heart pumping with this one!

Check out the 2 minute video below for proper technique and form.

Now, your challenge is to do these for 30 seconds without stopping. If you get tired, just slow it down as the video shows us.

Ready for an extra challenge? Do this exercise 3-5 more times over the course of the day.

Yes, you CAN gang! No excuses, get moving and enjoy your energy!

First burpees and now mountain climbers! It’s like you are going down my list of Top Ten most hated exercises (hint: it’s anything that makes me do cardio with my head below my heart). Really - these make me feel like barf city but I still do ‘em because you are right, they do totally get your heart rate up! And your breakfast;)

      Mountain Climbers!!!

I always have clients do these, but i put weight plates under their feet, so they have to slide them instead, which make sit harder. Plus I have them put their hands on a bosu so they are unbalanced. These are great though, because you can do them without any equipment.

      Mountain Climbers!

I always have clients do these but with weight plates under their feet so they have to slide them instead, and then have them brace themselves on a bosu so they have to hold it steady. But these are great because you can do them anywhere with no equipment

If you like mountain climbers, then you’ll love mountain climbers with The Valslide! I just ordered them (www.valslide.com) and did the Valslide workout and it’s awesome! It’s so much smoother with the valslide…and I think it may even work better than just the standard MC. You will really feel the burn with these!

oh, is THAT how I’m supposed to look when I do these in Muscle Pump class? I’ve been doing the half-assed version, apparently. And in much less-cute clothes.

I was doing these the other day and my shoes kept falling off. It was very annoying! But they are such a good exercise.
