8 Reasons to love the egg

    By workoutmommy | March 20, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my rss feed. Thanks for visiting!

As we were coloring Easter eggs today, I realized that the egg is a great food and snack.

Here are 8 reasons we came up with, do you have any to add?

    1. It’s inexpensive!
    2. It’s portable! (when hard boiled, of course)
    3. It’s low in calories! (about 78!)
    4. It’s a great source of choline, which plays an important role in the development of brain and memory functions. One egg contains about 22% of your daily requirement of choline!
    5. It tastes great!
    6. It is packed full or protein which will keep you fuller, for longer! A typical large egg has about 6 grams of protein.
    7. It can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks!
    8. It can be a craft project for your kids! (again, when hard boiled)

    No excuses gang, get crackin’!

you *should* be sleep deprived as you seem to do it all and all so WELL :)

I HEART the egg (and the ‘beaters! but those are more difficult to use in crafts) and cant wait until my Tornado is more into decorating (you know, more than the fun it is to get food coloring all over *everything*)

The egg has been given a bad name for many people, but for any sort of physical training, weather to lose weight or gain muscle, the egg is almost essential. Bravo to your raising the egg up on high = ) and they do make the best fun craft projects this time of year, don’t they = )

I had hard boiled eggs for lunch on Thursday (that I dyed on Weds night), and they were delicious and healthy. Yum!

I love eggs too! They are one of my top foods. They have been neglected and unloved for too long, but as we now know those yolks are actually very nutritious.
Eggs are just so versatile, you can cook them a million ways and with a million different ingredients. Ahhh, eggs. :) And they’re pretty cheap!
