There is broccoli in this cereal??

vive.jpgKashi sent me another great product and I’m here to tell you all about it!

I’ve always struggled with finding a good breakfast food because I am a very picky eater. (eggs? No thanks!) I know I need protein in my meal and most cereals I have tried have tasted like chalk.

Well, Kashi has come out with a new cereal called Vive that is absolutely delicious! It is so good in fact that my 2 year old asked for more. He pushed aside his Fruity Cheerios and asked for more of my cereal! So if a toddler prefers Vive over the beloved Fruity Cheerios, then you know it MUST be good!

You get so much bang for your buck on this cereal that it really is hard to believe:

and here is my favorite one:

    Yes, you read that correctly.

Eating this cereal is just as good for you as a bowl of steamed broccoli.

Need I say more? NO! Put this cereal on your shopping list today. Honestly, these Kashi products continue to impress me each time!

Wait, I can eat broccoli without feeling like I’m eating broccoli? Where are my car keys? I’m off to the store!

Oooh thanks for the tip lisa! Kashi has some really great products & I’m excited to try this one. Although I thought probiotics had to be refrigerated?? I also have to admit that I’m leery of the idea that anything that comes in a box is “as good as” a bowl of broccoli. Not saying the kashi is bad for you (12g of fiber, woot, woot!!) but surely eating actual broccoli would be better?

Oh man. Now I have to try it! You already got me totally addicted to the bars, now this! Thanks for the tip!

Love me some Kashi! Their chocolate and pretzel GoLean bar is delish and their cereal is great sprinkled over yogurt. I’m getting this for sure - thanks for the tip!

Lisa - Thank you SO much for sharing this! I went out immediately and bought a box yesterday afternoon, it’s almost gone THIS MORNING! Every person in my family, including the pickiest eater, my three year old, has loved it. I ate a bowl and then had some for snack yesterday. Way to go Kashi!

Come on… broccoli is not the same added to cereal as it is fresh, or we could all just take pills to stay in good health. You lose a lot whenever you process something. I’m surprised they’re allowed to say that.

sarta, I agree that fresh is definitely better!

The draw here for me was that on top of the cereal tasting good, I was also getting some other healthy benefits, such as broccoli extract. That isn’t something I would expect to find in a breakfast cereal that actually tasted good!
