Today is the New York City Marathon, one of my favorite races to follow and one that I have run myself. Stop by the website for the NYC Marathon where you can track your favorite athletes, including Lance Armstrong!

The NYC Marathon is an amazing race, not only to run but also to watch. The excitement and energy from the runners, and spectators, is amazing. It will inspire everyone to start running!

Maybe it will inspire you right now!?
Go lace up your shoes and be active. If not running, go for a walk!
Get your heart rate up and enjoy your energy.
Your heart and mind will thank you!

I can’t believe Ryan Shay died at mile 5…scary. I also can’t believe Lance Armstrong is dating an Olsen twin…scary.

That aside, yes NYC Marathon gets me pumped to qualify for Boston.

What do you think of the USA Track & Field ban on music at races?

Nap Warden—Boston is definitely in your future!
I think the music ban is ridiculous, but hopefully something they won’t really enforce.

Did you hear Katy Holmes was in the race? They were making fun of her on the radio and making snide comments about her time. It made me so mad. I wanted to call in and say, “atleast she got off her ass and did something, which is more than I can say for you.”
