I love trying out new workouts so this summer I’m going to Orange Theory Fitness (OTF) to try and change up my workout routine. They allow you a free trial class, which I loved. Although it is pricey, I consider it an investment in myself for the next 2 months. These are the 3 things I love about Orange Theory Fitness:
- I don’t have to think or plan. I just show up, the workout is written and I don’t even have to read it if I don’t want to. The coaches walk you through every step (“move to the treads now” or “do this with this weight 10 times”) and I’m on complete auto pilot. While there are days I like to plan and control my own workout, most of the times I just want to zone out. This eliminates any distractions or thoughts like “do I really need to do pull ups today?” (and the answer is always yes, but I still avoid them!). At OTF, I just have to show up, sweat, and leave.
- Everyone employee there is super nice and motivational. It kind of reminds me of the business model of Chick-Fil-A, everyone is friendly and kind to the customer. I understand they get paid to do this, but I feel like they actually do care about you as a customer, which sometimes is difficult to find. At OTF, you are greeted upon walk in, the coaches take the time to get to know you, and they are always positive and willing to help. If you are someone who dreads working out, Orange Theory is the place to go. They will make you feel like an olympic athlete and celebrate your every success.
- OTF offers HIIT workouts that deliver results. You will push yourself past your comfort zone and work pretty much every muscle in your body. The combination of cardio and strength gives you a great overall calorie burn and will keep you burning calories for hours after you leave class. Through the use of heart rate monitors, you can see your stats on the big screen during class. Basically if you want to just dial it in and coast through a workout without much effort, it is going to show up on the screen! After each class, you get an email after class letting you know just how hard you worked and for a numbers person like myself, it is a nice perk. I love this kind of feedback because it pushes me to work harder, and therefore I get better results.
Those are just 3 of the reasons why I love Orange Theory Fitness. How about you?
