It’s THAT time of year again. We recap, we wonder what went wrong, we look back longingly on what went right, and we make a plan to hopefully follow for next year.
Here was my post last year, which actually wasn’t too outrageous.
Did I meet my 2016 goals?
#1: Well,I definitely had more fun. This was the first year in a long time that I put MYSELF at the front of the line. I went out more and met a really awesome guy. We went on some fun trips and laughed (and drank) a lot. For the first time in a many years, I allowed myself to be happy and you know what? It was amazing..
#2: Not sure I did much on reducing the stress level. Being alone with 4 boys is similar to being trapped alone in a room with angry cats. Maybe this year I’ll figure things out better? I hope.
#3: Lose the fat? Ummmm…I did a really good job of losing it last spring/summer, but it seems to have returned this fall. (see #1 and the drinking part) I am ending the year with more fluff than I started with, but that is ok because I know that summer bodies are made in the winter. I know what I need to do and I’m going to get there by February. (putting it out there for accountability!)
#4: As for my running goal from last year? Eh. Didn’t happen, but that is OK. Not sure my mind is tuned into long distance running anymore.
I think my goals for 2017 are going to stay about the same.
And try to like what I see in the mirror.
Some of my favorite posts from 2016 are:

As always, thank YOU for reading and sticking with me over the years. This will be my TENTH year of blogging, which is absolutely insane in my mind. I think it’s time I give up on thinking it might actually make me rich and famous. 🙂
Happy New Year friends. Don’t forget to FLEX!
