Summer has FLOWN by, hasn’t it?
I’ve been staying in shape this summer thanks to Gold’s Gym and the wonderful people in the childcare room. I am sure they cringe on the inside when they see my troop come barreling in, but they always greet me with a smile and kind words. And they are willing to throw a flex for me too. 🙂
While I have focused more on traditional strength training this summer, I still love my workouts at home.
Here are a few workout at home ideas for you:
Burpee jacks are great to do anywhere and anytime. They will give you a much needed boost of energy.
Sprints are one of my favorite forms of intense cardio and I always end up with a kid (or 2) joining in on the fun. My kids like to guess how long it will take me to do my sprints and knowing I have to beat their guesstimate is a great form of motivation!
Burpees over barbell are TOUGH. I usually pair these with some deadlifts or squats. All you really need is about 20 minutes and you are done!
Want shoulder definition? Do these. Not going to lie…..they are really TOUGH, but they produce results!
Snatches are always my go-to favorite when I am on vacation. (Margaritas are as well!) 🙂
I also got a new tire, which is always fun to flip around the yard.
and since it’s Friday, here are some flexing pics I have shared this summer!
