I was lucky enough to get a mini-vacation to the beach the last week of December. I relaxed, ate delicious food (and maybe drank too much too), and saw a beautiful rainbow. It was just what the therapist ordered!
I didn’t neglect my workouts though because what better “gym” than a giant white sand beach? Working out in the sand is no joke as my hip flexors and quads are STILL sore!
Here was my workout—sand is not necessary. Are you snowed in right now? Try this one out in the snow!
1. 100 walking lunges
2. 60 frog jumps
3. 20 push ups
4. 10 sprints (about 100-150 yards) Run like a bear is chasing you. 🙂
It was nothing fancy, but it worked up a great sweat. I finished up with some planks and yoga stretches just because I love the feel of sand. (sigh) I miss the sand.
