A few months ago I told you about my goal for pull ups. Well….it’s still a work in progress! Although I love my door gym, it was starting to take it’s toll on the molding in my entrance doorway so I needed to look for an alternative. We don’t have any beams available for a permanent pullup bar, so I was stumped.
I hit up my friend Google and check out what I came up with! A free standing portable pullup bar!
I reached out to Trevor at Trapezerigging.com and he was kind enough to send me one for testing purposes. At first, I was a little put off by how heavy the pieces are but once I realized how EASY it is to assemble and therefore move from room to room, I was really impressed.
I keep it mainly in my basement, but it’s so easy for me to take apart and bring upstairs or even outside when needed.
This thing is ROCK SOLID! It is just what I need to help me meet my pull up goal! Here is a video clip of me trying to get there. Please, don’t laugh! 
So gang, don’t ever give up on your goals and remember to never underestimate the power of a workout!

I might have to run this by my husband and see if this would solve our lack of pull-up bar, as we’re pretty much in the same position as you: have nowhere to put a permanent bar and know our over-the-door version will damage our walls (we used to use it in a basement doorway before we finished the basement). Thanks for sharing!

It’s great that your following your dream! I love the free standing bar, I’m still using the door. Nope, not the door gym ….just my door with a towel draped on top. I will have to give this freestanding one a try!
