Get up and get moving with Kinect Sports (review)

by workoutmommy on January 27, 2012

Yes, I refer to my husband as “Lazy Daddy”.   He has starred in a few things on my blog but generally he likes to watch things from the comfort of the couch.

He usually laughs at me when I test out some of the things I get for review,  like this one.  (no, I couldn’t make him get on it!)

This time, however, the review package that arrived had his name written all over it: Kinect Sports Season Two.

Enough said, right?

Lazy Daddy and my oldest son (age 6) played the football game for hours!  (seriously, I was sick of hearing them cheer!)   It was fun though and got them both up and moving!

My other boys weren’t really into “it” as I think it was a little too complicated for them.

I tried it out but was quickly booted from the room when I didn’t do it “right”?   (translation: I wasn’t very good)

There are 6 games to choose from–tennis, golf, baseball, skiing,  darts, and American football.   Overall,  this is a great family game and is definitely a win when it can get Lazy Daddy up off that couch!

How about you gang?  Do you have a favorite video game that gets your family up and moving?

Disclosure: The featured product for this review was provided to me, at no cost, by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing.  I was not paid for this post, this is my honest opinion.

I have this on my list of games to get, I think it will get my “lazy hubby” off the couch too!

Lisa, my wife and girls enjoy the Just Dance series. When the six and three year old get tired of running around the backyard like crazy people, they love to jump around the living room like crazy people. They love being crazy.

I have not tried the Kinect, but I do a good many things on the Wii. I think both of those systems are so much better than the regular videos because it does get me off my couch and moving. Plus, I’m having fun and don’t even think about the fact that I’m getting exercise!

That looks like so much fun! My kids love Wii Sports, and they love watching me play “Just Dance 3.” Their commentary makes it … well … interesting.
