I’ve got the summer blahs.
(oh how I wish I could be a kid again!)
I’m not really able to workout and therefore feeling completely uninspired here in this space.
Based on the low number of comments, especially on my Fit mom and fit dad posts, I’m not really sure anyone is actually reading anymore so I’ve decided to take a break.
It might be a week. Or maybe a month. Or maybe until I get back on the fitness train. (because I have picked this race as a post-baby comeback!)
Either way, I’ll still be over on Twitter and Facebook. (because let’s be honest, I can’t completely unplug from one of my main sources of sanity!)
Don’t forget gang—-Never underestimate the power of a workout!

Michael from Simple Animation Software Tips and Guidelines
I read all your posts
also hooked to you on twitter & FB as well
I’ve got summer blahs…or perhaps the blahs in general though
not going anywhere on vacation, have some major ‘issues’ i’m dealing with and something really hit me yesterday about my workouts, etc…. but i’m always ‘here’
I always read your blog even though I don’t comment a lot. In some ways, I wish I could be a kid again too. If I lived near I’d suggest we hang out under a shade tree with cold glasses of ice tea while the kids ran around. Or we could set up sprinklers and run around with them. I’m sure my 11 year old would appreciate it.
I’m kinda in the same boat – pregnant all summer. Ran a half at week 14 but haven’t consistently exercised (just did yoga today) but workouts are less than 1 per week! Wondering when you’re due and how much time you’re taking between due date and first race. I bought a bikini for motivation and have the Bob stroller – but realize that the new baby cannot be in a jog stroller until at least 6 months!!! My due date is late Sept and maternity will be thru Dec. 31. Should I sign up for a race in spring time or earlier???
SQWEEE! Does this mean you will be in Chicago (wait… or are you doing the one in DC..??? Please say Chicago….) I read you all the time through Reader– haven’t had much time to comment. You know I heart you WM!! (((Hugs)))) to you– enjoy your break…but come back S-O-O-N!

I always love reading your blog! You’re right – sometimes summer can be really eerie. Especially living in a city – there’s nobody around! This post made me remember a simpler time, when my favorite thing was being chased by the waves washing onto the beach. I would do anything to have that kind of energy again! Thanks for the read! Hope you’re having an enjoyable summer.
LOL I got the email for that race and figured HMMM I may be able to do that.. let’s see when the baby is born and I’ll decide!!! LOL
I’m guilty of not commenting. I’m making the commitment to comment more on my favorite blogs (that includes Workout Mommy).
I completely understand. I need to socialize to get thru these next two weeks. That’s why i’ve been back posting and commenting, reading etc. TV is boring especially now that i have contractions every night. Still way far apart but getting stronger and closer every night. Most likely means i have at least a week left. Excited for you. Wish you the best these next few weeks.
Just catching up after getting home from our epic vacay – sorry this is so late but you will definitely be missed! I’ll keep you in my reader and will try and catch you on Twitter:) Love you!!!
Girl, you know comments don’t tell the true story. I definitely understand needing a break, though!
You need your rest and to be done with the baby making so we can run the Princess again next year!
Winks & Smiles,
Wifey
