I’m spending another spring racing season on the sidelines but I will NOT let it get me down.

Please tell me what races or events YOU are doing this spring to help keep me motivated!

Come on….don’t be shy!   :)

Hey Mama,
We’re all doing the 5K here in the hood that’s for the school. Probably will walk most since we’ll have the kids joining us…you should too (and let’s get some morning walks – and lunges – in on warm days)!

Jamie :)

Hi friend. I am still waiting for spring to HAPPEn here… we have been bombarded with heavy winds and rain the past few weekS!! I decided to suck it up and start registering for local races to help keep me motivated. I will be running a 5 miler THIS weekend and a 5K NEXT weekend.

Now the kicker will be whether or not I will racing the 5K while pushing the double jogger & C riding his bike next to us… or running solo. (Still needing to find childcare).

Adventure awaits… :)

I am doing my *favorite* race in two weeks! The GW Parkway Classic 10 miler, that starts at Mt. Vernon and ends in Old Town. Hopefully we won’t see any more SNOW and it will be a great run with SPRING weather. :-P

I’ve got a couple races coming up! I’m running a 10k in Leesburg at the end of April and of course the Fitbloggin’ 5k! Official triathlon training starts the week after Fitbloggin’.

Holy crap. That’s coming up quick.

I’m doing an 8k with my daughter’s kindergarten teacher and some of the other parents. It’s organized by a local running shoe store and benefits the leukemia and lymphoma society – one of her classmates was recently diagnosed with leukemia. I’m also doing a mother’s day 5k with my mom and twin sister (we’re walking that one), and the Seattle Rock & Roll half marathon with my twin, mother-in-law and sister-in-law (I think my MIL will kick my butt on that one. She’s done marathons, and the half is the longest I’ve attempted).

I don’t run like many of ou (bad feet) but I have been doing all my workout DVDs. Some were really dusty but the next day I was sore. I plan to do “fun” runs and walks with my kids this spring.
