Choosing a princess

by workoutmommy on February 7, 2011

In just under 3 short weeks I am headed back to Disney to run the Disney Princess 1/2 marathon again!

I’m super excited, especially since I get to be a part of Ask Wifey’s Blogrollin’ team this year! I met Lorraine at the race last year and she is definitely one super nice (and very FIT!) mommy.

The Blogrollers have started the Get Moving! initiative which focuses on the importance of physical exercise by making it FUN!   Since Disney is the epitome of FUN, I can’t think of a better race to be a part of!

I’m also excited about meeting all the other bloggers that are running, especially Heather from Run Faster Mommy. I featured her awhile ago and have stalked read her blog ever since.  :)

Last year I was a bit of entertainment for the group since I was still nursing my newborn.   When you have to be at a race at 330am and it doesn’t start until 630am,  this presents a problem for nursing mothers!  I was very thankful for my hand pump, hefty garbage bag, and a private corner of the media tent to help me make it through that race!

This year the newborn (who is now 14 months!) and other kids are staying home but alas, I will not be running alone.    Since I have to choose a Princess to represent me along the race, I need some help.

Are there any princesses that are pregnant? :)

Congratulations! I’m not sure that any of the Princesses have been knocked up, but I bet they would all look cute with a belly.

I am running again this year! I am super duper excited. I really love this race. My daughter informs me that Ariel has a daughter in the Little Mermaid 2. Not sure on the validity.. I haven’t watched or heard of that movie.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

I think any of the princesses could be pregnant… a giant ballgown is a perfect way to hide a tummy. ;)

I’m so impressed with you running the half preggers! I had slowed down to almost nothing in Dec (after running the half in Sept) and when I found out I was pregnant, I just didn’t start up again. I WISH I was running still (although I decided I don’t need the “I ran through my pregnancy” badge–much like I didn’t need the “I had a natural childbirth” badge), but then I tell myself I will never have as good of an excuse NOT to run for 9 months….right? I wish I was with you–for many reasons–running, sun, warmth…I had enough of feet of snow in the NE. Ugh!
