Exercise and vacation

by workoutmommy on September 7, 2010

Last week on vacation I had every excuse in the book NOT to exercise.

  • we were sharing a beach house with friends
  • there were SIX children ages 11 and under in the house
  • my baby still does NOT sleep
  • I wanted to sit on the beach and do nothing
  • Hurricane Earl make a short (thankfully) appearance that trapped us all in the house

instead of giving in to these excuses, I ignored them and took my workout outside.

Yet another reason why kettlebell workouts rock.

They can be done on the beach.
While your baby plays on a towel nearby. (see him there?)
And your other kids play in the water.
Multi-tasking at its finest.

Excuses? Don’t want to hear them.  Just get up and get moving gang!

This is just what I needed to read. I didn’t feel like working out but it’s been a week since we had such hot weather i couldn’t workout . it was too hot. but today I went for it. It wasn’t the toughest of workouts but it was enough to bring the spark back. I have a blog at http://www.kettlebellchronicles.blogspot.com if you’re interested. I”m new at this blogging but it’s great to keep a record of my workouts. nice to read your blog ! keep up the great work.

I totally agree… everyone has the TIME to get fitness (of some sort) in throughout their already busy day… it is just CHOOSING to make that CHOICE TO actually workout! Good for you multitasking – vacation, working out, entertaining children, and having fun (and looking marvelous) all at the same time! :)

Hi there! Just wanted to say hi and let you know that I’m so glad that I happened to come across this blog. It’s very inspiring to find other people who are interested in fitness and weight loss. I myself have lost 125 lbs and my story will be featured in the November 2010 issue of Shape magazine. This is very exciting for me! Anyway, I have a blog at http://www.lauragetsfit.com if you’d like to check it out. I look forward to reading more of your weight loss journey. Take care! <3 Laura
