Kettlebells for Dummies

by workoutmommy on September 5, 2010

Remember Sarah Lurie?  She is owner of Iron Core Fitness and I featured her as a fit mommy (to be) a few years back.   (click here for a refresher)

Sarah is now the author of the book Kettlebells For Dummies and it is just what you need when training with kettlebells!

The book has great step-by-step pictures and gives you all the info you need to safely use kettlebells to increase your metabolism, lose weight, and become STRONG! It includes sample workouts as well, including routines for special populations such as pregnancy and seniors.

Want to win? I have one copy to giveaway to a lucky reader!  Just leave a comment below telling me one thing you would like to learn/know about kettlebell training.

Winner will be chosen at random on Friday, September 10th at 9pm EST.   Contest is open to US addresses only.

Disclosure: The featured product for this review was provided to me, at no cost, by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. I was not paid for this post, this is my honest opinion.

oh, wow, I think kettlebells are awesome! That said, I live in BFE and our local Y has NOT ONE kettlebell! I used to be an instructor there and since returning as a member (after 3 kids) I have asked about kettlebells, told the director they’re great and that I’d love to teach a class using them! This book would really REALLY help!!

When I first started blogging, I had never even heard of kettlebells. Then I started getting reader questions about them, more and more each month. I’d love to have this book in order to be able to respond better!

Kettlebells are supposed to be great and really get you sweating. I haven’t tried them yet, but maybe I should give it a shot.

Oh wow! How exciting! I would LOVE the book! After reading about kettlebells on your blog, I have been desiring some! I am much more of an aerobic exerciser than strength-training. I wanted to find something I could enjoy and stick with (even through pregnancies). After researching it a bit, I finally bought some kettlebells. They are in the mail NOW! I am eagerly checking the USPS status and tracking their every move! The book would be awesome to help me!

I really want to go beyond the swing I know and use kettlebells for a complete routine. The more I can do at home and not require the gym, the better!
