I love to wear hats, especially my beat up old Nike hat. It’s my go to accessory when I am running out the door and haven’t had time to brush my hair. (pretty much every single day!)
It doesn’t work well during my workouts at LA Boxing though. The hat sometimes gets in the way. Or falls off. Or just makes my head too hot. And when you have big fat gloves on, it’s impossible to readjust the hat.
So I came across the website for Sweaty Bands and decided to try them out. I now have a new love!
They are perfect for working out or just wearing around. They come in tons of different colors and styles and they do not slip off while you are working out. They keep both my hair and my sweat from getting in my eyes!
I love wearing them outside of the gym as well. Not only do they not slip but they don’t hurt your head after wearing them all day, like my other headbands.
Don’t believe me? Check out what all these other women had to say about them.
So I definitely give Sweaty Bands a big thumbs up. Want one of your own? I have one sweaty bands to give away to a lucky reader! Leave me a comment below telling what was your favorite post (of mine) from the month of June.

Yes! I need to bookmark their site. I too love my go-to Nike visor for running–but it’s kinda silly to wear it on the treadmill or while doing a DVD.
Have you tried Bondi Bands? I haven’t tried them yet, but they’re a lot less expensive than the Sweaty Bands, so I’d be curious how they compare…

I loved all your LA boxing updates. I really wish they had one here in MI.
I’m going to give the Sweaty Bands a try anyway….I am constantly in search of the perfect headband….I sweat a LOT!!!!!!!
I love all yourLA boxing updates…they r opening one near me and I might give it a try.
I also really like the LA Boxing updates but I especially liked the post in June about creative ways to squeeze exercise into your day. I have 4 kids and a lot of times it’s really hard.
Giiirl, my fav post in June is on the 11th, ‘be careful what you wish for,’ because seeing you hooked up to the ‘Extreme torture device’ is HILARIOUS, hahaha
Reminds me of the time you made me do lunges around the park with a baby attached to me and I couldn’t sit for days! Karma…that’s all I gotta say about that
Jamie
p.s. I think I need a sweaty band just to sit around these days since it’s been so freakin’ hot
I loved all of the LA Boxing articles…but the one on your friend Kelly was a close favorite too!
I loved the June 23rd about the Kettle balls. Think I mught go get.
June 14th, I”m going to try the challenge.

I loved your Stronger post on June 23, 2010 because it’s great to see other people getting into boxing! And wow, your class is so very different than mine – makes me wish that I lived in a bigger city.

Uh oh, looks like that coupon code is expired.
I was all set to get one – I need something to keep my bangs out of my eyes when I box!

I like your “Stronger” post — I don’t box, but I do study martial arts. That realization that your body is doing what you ask of it and getting stronger so amazing.
My favorite post is “don’t think about it, just do it”! I did the exact same thing the other day…went back & forth about “getting ready” & said forget it, I’m just going jogging! It’s a great thing to remember, use the time you have wisely!
Never tried sweaty bands, but could definitely use a baseball hat alternative for the gym! In Texas I need the hat to run outside
Honestly, my fave post was the Diet Pepsi one. I struggled w/ giving up Pepsi for YEARS. I finally kicked the habit but now I’m addicted to coffee. Whoops.

I loved your Fess Up Friday about the cookie dough. It is always nice to know I’m not the only person who does things like that!!

Even though it’s a repeat, I love the creative mom ways to get exercise in.
it has been so hot here. i thought my short hair cut would be cool but i can’t stand it on my face or brushing my neck. this is exactly what i need.
i really appreciated your “don’t think about it, just do it” post. i need to do that every day. i analyze my way out of working out too often…
My favorite post was about the running shoes. My running shoes are torture. I try the fancy ones, they just hurt worse. But the biggest lesson, replace them more often than you think you need too. Your feet will thank you!

Other than the fact that you mention me in this post I LOVE it because it is SO hard to get that motivation all the time! Sometimes it requires calling/texting your friends to remind you to get off your ass!!

As a runner and an aspiring running coach, I liked the running shoe post.
Definitely need to try the sweaty bands as my hair is in a horrible growing out stage.

I’m going to have to try this, I tried wearing a hat to boxing class and it fell off my head doing ab work because i was so hot and sweaty, and the tip of it would hit the punching bag! anyway, my favorite post was when you had the video of your trainer making you drop the ball and do stuff before it bounced back up. priceless!
I love the one about finding creative ways to fit workouts in. With a teen, 2 puppies and 3 cats I’m swamped!
