Got 10 minutes?

So what would you do if you had just 10 minutes of “me” time in your day?
I bet you think my answer is something fitness related?

Well, you are wrong!
Yes, while you can certainly get a heart pumping workout in ten minutes (jump rope, squat jumps, suicide sprints, run stairs, etc.) I have to be honest here.  These days, I am going to choose a SHOWER with my 10 minutes of freedom time!

putting the dog in the bathtubI have NO idea how these other moms look so refreshed, made-up, and clean every single morning because it just is not happening in my house!   I cannot trust my three little monsters munchkins to be left alone while I shower so I have to wait until late at night to get one.  Or not.  (what can I say, sometimes sleep wins out over cleanliness!)

So that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Now tell me, what would you do if you had just 10 minutes a day?

I am so with you! Sometimes I have to think hard to remember if I showered today or the day before.

Oh, I hear ya! Luckily my kids are a little older now, so I can can take a quick shower without worrying too much that they will try to get out of the house and into the pool at our complex (which has happened in the past). I still keep the bathroom door open and lather,rinse,skip-the-repeat as quickly as possible. And, hey, sometimes ya gotta sacrifice perfect cleanliness for some z’s. (I think those squeaky-clean moms have either nannies or family members helping out with the kids!)
10 minutes to myself? I’d try to take a quick power nap!

I am with you on this! I would love be made up first thing in the morning, but it’s just not happening these days. I am lucky if my face gets washed.

I have been on a serious workout kick and feeling great. But if I had just 10 minutes I would do 5 minutes shower and 5 minutes catching up on blog reads! I never can get to all of them and I NEVER get a shower before the kids are in bed!

I hear you I remember those days! My kids are all grown up but now I have grand kids. At least you can send them home LOL

I use to workout with my kids. I made it a game. Simon says kick in the air. That’s one reason I made my “at home” workout DVDs and why they’re simple to follow. It’s tough to do a fancy routine with a 3 year old hanging on your hip!
