I was very tempted to get some Funnel Cake at Disney. The smell set off a Pavlovian response and I found myself drifting toward the vending stand. (must. have.funnel.cake)
But then I thought to myself, is it really worth it?
Not at all.
Funnel cake packs about 760 calories, 44 grams of fat, and 16 grams of sugar. (yes, it’s THAT disgusting)
So please, if you are tempted this weekend and/or summer by the lure of the funnel cake, please skip it!
It’s just not worth it!

Oh YUM!!! However totally not worth it!!! GAG to think how bad it is.
yet I love me some funnel cake.
in all its nasty oily glory
I do subscribe to the notion that if you REALY want some, just have a bite or two. Yes, it’s awful for you but if you REALLY want some just savor it.

And it’s so darn good.
But, there are plenty of other good things out there, that are a littl nicer to the waistline.
AND NOW LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE I’m totally craving funnel cake!

I thought that the food at Disney was calorie free.
After all, it’s the most magical place on earth.

Doug, I only WISH that was the case. If it were true, I would be living at Disneyworld!
I was indeed tempted by funnelcake. Thankfully, I had my conscience with me (my dear husband) and he said asked me if I really needed that. He was right, I didn’t, especially since we already shared a sweet treat that day in the form of a cream-filled pastry horn. A treat once in a while is okay, but not on a frequent basis!
