Time crunch workout

by workoutmommy on March 31, 2010

How many times have you said “but I only have 20 minutes to workout, so it’s not really worth it”?  Personally, I’ve said that a lot!

Before having kids, I had the luxury of spending one to two hours at the gym and working out was easy to fit into my schedule.  These days  I have to make the best use of what little time I might have, even if it’s only 10 minutes!

This past weekend I had a very small window to work with and decided to try out  10 Minute Solution: Ultimate Bootcamp. (I received a free copy when I went to Fibloggin.)

I have said in the past that I have a hard time with DVDs because usually my kids are crawling all over me and I can’t hear anything.  The 10 Minute Solution: Ultimate Bootcamp was the perfect DVD for me because my kids were able to watch and attempt to do it along with me!  It was quick, TOUGH, and there was not much equipment involved.  (just some dumbbells).

We had a lot of fun and I got a very tough workout!   It consists of 5 different segments  (Fat Fighting Skills & Drills, Ultimate Upper Body Training, Ultimate Total Body Training, Ultimate Lower Body Training, Six Pack Ab Attack) and each segment is only 10 minutes long.  I managed to do 2 segments and I was a sweatin’!   (and very sore the next day, I must add)

It is definitely a go-to DVD for when you are in a time crunch and need a fun and challenging workout! Check out this preview:

Remember gang: never underestimate the power of a workout!

So true! If I don’t have an hour I tend to think it’s not worth it. THen I met HIIT cardio and kettle bells. LOL ;)

Sounds like a great, fast, challenging workout! Just what I need for the days I can’t make it to the gym… And I may even find something to entertain the toddler with while I do the DVD… :)

I’ve been hearing good things about these DVDs. I might see if the library has them to check out.
