At the airport today I was surprised that I was the ONLY one NOT using the moving walkway.
Why? Have we gotten so lazy as a society that we cannot walk a few hundred yards on our own?
C’mon people, stay on the right and use your own legs!
Same goes for the escalator. The steps are great for added exercise in your day, so don’t take the easy way out. Get moving instead! Every little bit counts!

I had a great first day at Blogher hanging out with Mizfit, Roni’s Weigh, FatFighterTV, and ajlovestolose.
I even convinced some of them take the steps instead of the elevator (I won’t name names since they complained the whole time!) and we ended up at the service entrance to the kitchen.
Tomorrow morning, the Blogher 5k!

DITTO!! Stairs for me… thank you very much!
Great time tonight.. can’t wait to hang out tomorrow!
SO TRUE! I hope you are having a great time at BlogHer!!!
I agree totally – but it is soooo fun to get on the moving walkway, get a fast walk going, because when you hit the end, and have to get on terra firma – it’s like you’re walking 30 mph!
Also, it’s a godsend when traveling with the kids, but most of the time we tuff it out.
I’m going to agree with Colon Cleanse Reviews said, and add, to my embarrassment, that I like to get on the moving walkway, turn around, walk the other way and pretend I’m a mime.
That NEVER gets old, lol!
Hmm how about if I walk on the moving walkway? I think I’m just in a hurry all the time and that propels me forward faster than my own feet
That works!
I was shocked by the number of able bodied people (without kids) who just stepped on it and stopped. They were there for the ride!
I am so jealous that you and Roni are hanging out together. What a blast you must be having!
I bet you’re talking about the people mover at O’Hare, right? Because I am ALWAYS the only one not to use it when I fly through there!
You kow what I always find funny? The people sprinting down the moving sidewalk… like it makes them go faster or something!
My FAVORITE part is when people stand still on the moving sidewalks…that are going WAY SLOWER than if they were walking with their own two feet. I can understand a bit more when people don’t want to walk up an escalator…but standing still on a sidewalk? NO WAY!
