My friends and family can tell you that I love to wear tee shirts.

I created my own Workout Mommy tees at Zazzle and they turned out great! I’ll be wearing them at Blogher, so be sure to look for me.

I created a spare that I’m going to send to one lucky reader! In addition to the tee shirt, this contest also includes a $10 gift card to Starbucks!  Free clothes and free food, what more can you ask for?

(It is a size large, but it is a fitted tee)

Enter to win by leaving a compliment in the comments section for another blogger. There is a lot of drama going around the blogosphere right now so here is your chance to say something nice about someone else. Please leave either the bloggers name or twitter ID.

I’ll start:

Jamie of A Forest Frolic is a great friend and an even better mommy to her girls. :)

The contest is open to US and Canada and the winner will be chosen at random at 9pm on Monday, July 27th.
Be kind and be ACTIVE gang!

I give a shout out to my friend Laretha @ http://hulsefamilybeautiful.blogspot.com because she amazes me. Not only does she work full-time, mother of 4 beautiful children, she somehow manages to find time to work out too! This inspires me. (Ok, so she has to do it at zero-dark:thirty in the morning; but she gets it done!) She is beautiful inside and out. You should hear her testimony, it will bring tears to your eyes.

OK, I was going to write you a personal email this week, but since there’s a CONTEST, I’m going to go public with it. In case I win a t-shirt. :)

    Dear Workoutmommy:
You inspire me. You inspire me to get off my rear even on those days when I *really* don’t feel like getting off my rear because I am way too tired. But through other women’s stories, and your own, you remind me that there’s a good reason to take care of myself. And that we really can do it. But even more importantly than that, you inspire me to keep on keeping on. I know that this year has been harder for you than I can begin to imagine, and you keep on keeping on, and you’re honest and candid about it. And I am encouraged and inspired by you. Whether or not I win a t-shirt. ;-) xo

I love this idea so much I blogged about it. Here is who I complimented…

My friend Shauna (http://theutzfamily.blogspot.com/) is one of the most caring girls EVER. She had technical phone difficulties this week and wasn’t able to retrieve a message from me asking for her to watch my kids. She cried that she wasn’t able to help me. Seriously. She is one of the sweetest, most caring girls I know and I am so glad she is my friend.

My friend and step-mom to my big kids Jackie (http://loves2craft.blogspot.com/) loves my big kids as if they are her own. While being a blended family is challenging I am thankful she is on this journey with me because it makes my life so much easier.

My best friend Jennifer (http://themagicbrushinc.blogspot.com/) is an amazing wife, mother, neighbor and friend. There isn’t enough room to write all the amazing things she is and does. I will just say she is faithful to pray for me and loves me right where I am – which isn’t always easy.

I follow several blogs, most of which deal with political issues — which is why I’m stoked about this one (since it deals with my other passion: fitness).

But the blogger I’d like to give props is Lisa Leonard. She’s a jewelry designer/artist — and I found her when I was searching for someone to create a personalized “dog tag” necklace with my sons’ names. Her pieces are fabulous — and I just ordered my 3rd custom one. But, even better, is that she’s got this really keen eye for beauty & a lovely outlook on parenting which I appreciate from reading her musings online. If you’re looking for a sweet thought or a great personalized piece of jewelry, here’s her site: http://www.lisaleonardonline.com/blog/.
This is a GREAT idea… thanks for paying it forward. :)

I enjoy following so many bloggers it’s hard to choose one. How about my top three?

    In no particular order:

Postcards from the Mothership is entertaining, takes beautiful photos (she’s doing a 365 project this year) and she’s from my neck of the woods!

Jennifer from Conversion Diary always makes me think. She’s a wonderful writer and I’m amazed at how often God uses her to speak to me.

Stephanie from Metropolitan Mama (or Shannon as I hear she prefers to be called – just kidding…) hosts amazing giveaways, always has interesting topics and responds to comments! To top it all off, she has two of the cutest girls that sometimes show up on the website.

    About Me

In my life before kids, I was a personal fitness trainer and self proclaimed fitness junkie. I loved the 5am workouts and evening strength training sessions. Now that I'm a mom, my life is filled with 5am feedings and piles of laundry. I've let my fitness slip and this blog will hopefully provide motivation to help myself (and YOU!) get back in shape. I want to be fit, be healthy, and be happy! No more excuses....it's time to workout mommy!
