How was your workout today?
This post has nothing to do with fitness, so I thought I would throw that question out there right away. If you haven’t done at least 15 minutes of activity today, NOW is the time to get up and get moving gang. (although you could read the rest, I wouldn’t mind!)
*****************
The ultrasound results are in and baby #3 is most definitely another BOY!
I am excited!
and terrified!
I can barely handle the noise and activity level of the two boys I already have, I am unsure how I will handle another! There is no time for coloring or crafts in my house, it is all about running, screaming, jumping, and wrestling. When I ask other moms how they get so much stuff done, many of them reply “just give them some crayons/paint and let them be creative. “ (cough…Jamie…cough)
at that point I try hard not to snort because seriously, my kids will color for approximately 3 seconds!
At this point I would like to give a shout out to some moms who blog with boys because they give me hope that I really will be able to handle it!
3 boys club:
- Charlotte from The Great Fitness Experiment always has her act together and manages to keep up with her workouts, a job, and a fantastic blog. She is also pregnant again, although she will be adding some pink to her blue crew.
- Kristen from Mommy Needs A Cocktail always manages to crack me up with her kids’ antics. I think mine would get along very well with hers, although that might not be a safe good combination.
- Sarah from In the Trenches of Mommyhood also gives me a much needed laugh and a clear glimpse into my future. Her boys are older, although their age spacing is similar to mine. (eventually they will sleep, right Sarah?)
- and Jean from Stimeyland continues to impress me. This summer she has created Camp Stimey for her 3 boys with a different theme (Entomology anyone?) each week. I can barely manage to grocery shop, much less prepare lessons and field trips!
Someday I might even be part of the 4 boys club like:
- KatieO, formerly of Sister Skinny. (check out her Fit Mommy interview). She has 3 little boys and a newborn. I am crossing my fingers that she is getting some sleep!
- or Audrey, of Mom Generations who is a “fashionista raising 4 boys under 4″. I can barely find time to brush my hair in the morning, yet Audrey is able to run a successful site and look great at the same time!
Or perhaps I’ll join the 5 boys club like:
- Alli Worthington, who is basically everywhere! I have no idea what her secret is, but I hope she shares it with me soon!
and who knows, maybe one day I will join the 6 boys (gasp!) club like:
- Shera from A Frog in My Soup. She blogs, designs websites (she did mine, isn’t it great?), and still keeps it all together for her brood of SIX BOYS. And makes it look so easy too!
So that is my update gang. I’m sorry if I missed anyone, but I’m not very good at blogging while my two boys are running around screaming!
Have a great (and active!) weekend!

I hear you girl…..I have two boys too and it’s the loudest, busiest, craziest part of parenting; being the parent of boys! But you’re used to the noise level more than you know. Try hanging out with a mother of all girls! You’ll see a huge difference and realize how much more prepared you really are! Congrats!

CONGRATS Lisa!! I know I already told you this but I love having three boys – it really is so much fun to see them all playing together. As soon as your little guy is born you’ll see exactly how well he fits in with the other two:)
And thanks for the shout-out: you are too sweet!
