Beach fitness essentials

by workoutmommy on June 14, 2009

We are headed out of town for some much needed rest and relaxation at the beach.   3 petxinesThings will be quiet around here as I’m not sure if there will be internet access where we are going.  (Gasp! I know!)

This does not mean I will not be active though!  I’m still bringing some of my favorite exercise equipment, such as:

Clothing wise, I’ll definitely be working out in my new BornFit apparel.  I can’t say enough good things about this clothing! Don’t forget, you can get 20% off by using the coupon code fitchick20.

I’ll also be doing lots of lunges, squats, and frog jumps in the sand as well as taking many long walks on the beach.

What are some of your favorite ways to stay active at the beach?  (or on vacation?)

If I had exercised while pregnant… I wouldn’t need to be working so hard right now. Good for you.

Going on vacation next week… hope I don’t totally throw away all my work for the last month.

Doing anything active in the sand is hard work (and I mean anything! It IS vacation, you know). Sometimes, though, as much as exercise is a great and necessary thing, it’s okay to just take the weekend off and let your body recover.

Take a relaxing walk on the beach and let the exercise value of that activity be to feed your soul. Enjoy.

Long walks on the beach- barefoot is more fun than running shoes :)

Lisa, I’m super impressed that you’re staying so active during your pregnancy. Good for you!

Random side note: I just googled Dreamer Design to look up that stroller and the company has “closed up shop.”
