I knew I would like BornFit as soon as I read the message of it’s co-founders, Lisa and Julie:
“We believe that all of us are BornFit. The beauty of being “Fit” is that it comes in all different sizes, shapes, interests and even passions. It’s that feeling inside your heart…that vibrancy for life – when you’re about to embark on a new adventure and it makes you feel alive, scared or even anxious.”
During my first two pregnancies I never knew there was maternity fitness wear. I usually just sized up on some items I got at Target, and while they worked okay, they weren’t great. They were way too big up top, which resulted in some embarrassing moments during spin class. And after awhile, they literally stunk!

So when BornFit offered to send me their Lindsay maternity Tee, I figured why not? I’ll try it out, but a shirt is a shirt, right? WRONG!
This is exactly the shirt that every exercising pregnant mommy needs! I absolutely LOVE it and want to wear it every.single.day!
Not only is it super comfortable, but it fits my growing body in all the right ways. It is very flattering and it does an excellent job of wicking the sweat away during workouts. BornFit is not paying me to say this; I really tell every pregnant person I know about BornFit’s maternity fitness line!
BornFit also makes a line of clothing for those who are not expecting. I have not tried these out myself, but my gut feeling is that the items are just as awesome.
I know the prices may seem high (which they did to me at first), but I have learned first hand that you get what you pay for. Chances are the $10 shirt you pick up at Target will not last long enough for you to wear next summer. The quality is just not there. BornFit’s products are quality.

I so wish I had been fit during my pregnancy. I would likely have had a beat better time of it. That brand looks great. Too bad I don’t know anyone…what…yes I do! Yay. I think I may have to get a gift certificate.
I didn’t even know there were companies that specialized in maternity fitness wear!! I just bought some cheapo stuff at Marshalls on Wednesday to “tide me over” as I’m way too big for my old gym clothes. Of course that just means that I’m wearing size L and having all the baggy issues you pointed out.
As for the bra, I don’t know how large busted you are but my fave compression bra is the Enell one (check out their site!) – NOTHING moves, no matter how big you are.

Fabulous! I just took off my Born Fit sports bra top to nurse my baby after riding on the trainer! I didn’t learn about Born Fit until the end of my pregnancy but I love the stuff and want more. Thanks for the coupon!
I’m not sure how big your chest has gotten, I have gone up 2 cup sizes and am only 5 months pregnant! But I did find a great sports bra for D+ sizes. It’s called the Shock Absorber Women’s Extreme Support Sports Bra Top, they sell it at amazon. It’s pricey but worth it. I can also vouch for the bounce-free Enell, but I get too hot while running to wear it during the summer. I wear the Shock Absorber instead and layer another Road Runner Sports bra over it. I have been running about 20-25 miles per week my entire pregnancy and I love it! Thanks for a great blog.
