Confession

by workoutmommy on May 15, 2009

I haven’t been to the gym in over a week because my husband  has been out of town.  (before you recommend the gym daycare, please read this post.)

Gym daycare + my kids = gigantic FAILURE.

So, I’ve been doing my best to squeeze in some mini-workouts here and there but it just isn’t the same.  I need a challenging, hardcore workout ALONE.
Mommy needs me-time!

Put On a Happy Face!So this weekend, I plan to spend a few hours at the gym AND outside working up a fantastic sweat.

I cannot wait!
How about you, what’s your plan?

You poor thing!!!!!
ENJOY your weekend, and get some quality YOU time in! I’ll be taking it a bit easy on Saturday, then going to Bikram yoga on Sunday (and then taking the kids swimming…yay!).

I’m using my NURU cards and the 100 burpees challenge to keep me a little bit on track. The pedometer at my waist helps a bit too!

Hope you can get your time in the gym again soon.

See, if you had a spare husband, things like this wouldn’t happen ;)

Seriously, I find yard work is a great exercise routine, especially with the push reel mower.

Merry, forget a spare husband–I want a wife! :)

yard work is a great option, especially with jungle like grass thanks to all this east coast rain.

Sometimes when I dread going to the gym I have to remind myself how lucky I am to be able to get there without worrying about childcare! Fortunately my cat couldn’t care less if I go.

Hope you were able to get in a great weekend workout!

Ooh, I know that feeling. Hope it all went well. I ran in a 5K this weekend. Getting back on track myself.
