Monday morning wake up

Instead of slowly crawling out of bed on a Monday morning, how about if you get up and get moving as soon as possible?

Here are a few ideas to help jump start your Monday morning:

1.  Set your alarm for 30 minutes earlier.  (this allows for the mandatory 10 minutes snooze button.  Only hit it once!)

2. Jump out of bed, throw on some workout clothes, and start with some squats.   Do at least 20.

3.  Drop down to the ground and do at least 15 pushups, either military style or modified.

4.  Stand back up and do 20 forward lunges.   (remember to breathe!)

5.  Back to the ground for a 30 second full plank.  Hold all your core muscles tight and press your palms in to the ground.

6.  Since you’re already on the ground,  do 25 mountain climbers.  (c’mon, yes you can!)

7.  Hop back up and wrap up your mini-workout with 20 more squats.

8.  Stretch, stretch, and stretch some more.

You should still have a few minutes to slowly catch your breath and enjoy the feeling of energy travelling through your body.

Never underestimate the power of a workout gang—especially on a Monday morning!

I will have to print this and have it right there…my brain is way too fuzzy first thing to remember this! But tomorrow- even though it is Tues- I will give it a go!

Was thinking of you yesterday. And listen to you! I don’t know if you’re faking it to make it or not, but it works for me. Getting my rear in gear right now!

I’m not a mom yet, but I enjoy your posts. I’m glad you’re back and though I haven’t done this ‘Monday morning wake-up’ yet, I plan to start bright and early tomorrow. Thanks!
