Turn Twitter into a workout

Don’t think you can find extra time in your day for exercise? Try this little trick and turn Twitter into an exercise program:

  • For every tweet you send,  stand up and do 10 squats and/or 10 jumping jacks.
  • For every tweet you receive, drop down and do 10 push ups.
  • and for every direct message you get, do 25 crunches.

Send me a tweet at the end of the day and let me know how it worked out.
This might lead to a lot of push ups for me, so bring it on!

Just tweeted this post! What a great idea except that I don’t get many tweets…maybe I will have to answer my own tweets! LOL!

Okay, I feel stupid. Now, I understand your tweet from earlier when you were talking about how many jumping jacks you were doing.

I just hadn’t got around to reading all the blogs yet, so I didn’t know what was going on. Oops.

However, I must say, this is a very good and creative idea.

You /almost/ tempted me to quit my Luddite habits and become a Twit :)

So… how many push ups did you end up doing?

Push-up update:

Averaging 8 tweets per minute x 10 pushups per minute x 7 hours = 33,600 push-ups

Owwwww!

This post assumes that I can actually do 10 push-ups in a row. HA! ;)

Thanks for the reminder to get up and get active.

FYI. I cancelled my Twitter account!! Just kidding, but I could see my twitter addiction being curbed if I did take on this challenge.
