23 degrees? No problem.

by workoutmommy on March 4, 2009

img00337I wanted to go for a run but my thermometer said 23 degrees.  I’m too old for cold but I just cannot take another day on that treadmill.

So, I layered, bundled and headed outside.

Was it cold? YES!
Was it wonderful?  YES!
Am I glad I went outside for a run?  ABSOLUTELY!

So don’t let that cold weather keep you inside. The fresh air and sunlight will do your body (and mind!) good.

Confused as to what you should wear?  Check out my post from last year about clothing for outdoor workouts.
Get up and get moving gang.
No excuses!  (not even freezing cold temperatures!)

I took the dog out for a walk. Of course, it was 57 degrees and sunny, so I don’t get any kudos. But YOU SO DO!!!!!!!!

That’s just too cold. As a Texan, I can’t even imagine running in that kind of weather. I’ll stick to the treadmill in the heated gym.

Nice! It’s warmed up a teensy bit around here so I have been taking advantage of the weather by getting outside walking and I love it.

You’re my new idol! I hate the cold, but I’m sure running in it would be refreshing.

i used to LOVE running in the cold. You just layer and by the end, you’re in a long-sleeved tee in sub zero temps. Glad you had a good workout!

Wimp! LOL – by my standards thats warm out! I’ve spent most of this winter running in 5F (-15C). Tomorrow though is supposed to be 60F (16C) here – I think I better remember to pack my running skirt to wear!

Brrr. That’s cold! (What a cute thermometer, by the way. How fun that it has a corresponding picture…).

It’s about 70 degrees here today.
