Have a craving for something sweet? Steer clear of the cookies and grab a Grapple instead!
Many thanks to my good friend and fellow blogger Stampin Mom for introducing me to these tasty and healthy treats.
I was very curious to how they are made so I contacted Grapple® brand apples to find out more about them. Not only were they were gracious enough to send me a bunch of delicious Grapples but they also included an adorable purple soccer ball! My favorite color is purple, so I think I was more excited about the ball than my kids. You can get one for free too with qualifying orders. Visit www.grapplefruits.com to find out the details.
So what exactly is a Grapple? Grapple® brand apples are Washington Extra Fancy Gala or Fuji Apples and they are NOT injected with anything. (I thought that was the answer as well.) Instead, they undergo a bathing process that allows them to take on the grape flavor. The apple takes on no additional sugars or calories and they are not genetically altered in any way.
According to the website, the actual process is better explained by the Food Network‘s “Unwrapped” show entitled “Grapeful”. I’ll have to schedule my friend Tivo to find that episode for me.
No matter how they are created, they are DELICIOUS and a great cure for my sweet tooth.
Click here to find out if Grapple® brand apples are available in your area. If not, you can always order them online directly from the Grapple® website. Remember my ABC plan for curing the junk food cravings? Well, I might just have to change that to a GBC plan now!
