Thanks for sharing this! I love that you're not afraid to be "real" and to show that staying fit isn't always easy.

I know it will probably take me awhile to get back into running after baby #2, but I guess that's just the way it is after "taking a break." At first, I'll probably be huffing and puffing. But hopefully I'll be back participating in 5Ks in no time. :)

I'm glad you are running again! It had to feel good, no matter how tough! Running . . . it keeps me humble, because there is always a challenge, and it keeps me sane ;)) I love it, no matter how tough it is.

Lisa - That's fantastic news that you could run! How did it feel?

For me, it's been incredibly challenging - since I've only been doing it for 2 years this month! I don't always love it, and get so bored on the treadmill but don't like running when it's super cold. But I feel amazing when I'm done and mentally it helps me unwind. I hate the elliptical and would rather be on the dreadmill, but I have grown to really enjoy running outside. (Don't knock the 10 minute mile either...)

As usual, I am *so* right there with you! It's HARD to get back into it, and so humbling. But just getting out there (or even on a treadmill) and doing it... it makes me happy, too. You go, girl. ;-)

Am not a mommy but I deeply respect the challenges of making a come back to running and fitness.

With the fitness level you achieved prior to having your kids, you'll return to a higher level sooner than most of us. Be patient and you'll amaze yourself!

Keep up the great work!

i have learned that it is not how fast but that you finish. it still feels good to finish in 10.30 min/miles versus 8.40 min/miles.
