Confession time

by workoutmommy on December 10, 2008

You’ve probably visited the sites True Mom Confessions or True Dad Confessions, where you can “confess” anonymously anything that might be on your mind.

Sweaters make me sadSome of them are a little disturbing, but for the most part I can relate to many of the “confessions”.

So today I thought it would be to play “I fell off the fitness/health wagon confessions“.

I’ll go first:

Today I bought some cookies to give my kids and ended up eating the entire bag myself. To make it even worse, I didn’t even attempt to workout the entire day.

Yes, it has been one of those kind of days around here.

How about you? What is your “confession”?

Confession: after reading my new book about postpartum weight loss, I went to Whole Foods and got fresh fruits and vegetables, then went out to dinner and ordered sour cream chicken, had half the basket of chips, and followed it up with chocolate and wine. Yay me (she says sarcastically!)

My confession: I ate three pieces of cakes yesterday – just because I walked by it. And, I didn’t get a good workout in at all, either. And I at a candy bar…(okay, I’m stopping now, before I depress myself!!). Today, I vow to do better…

I tuned out at the pediatrician yesterday when she was lecturing me (out of the blue. did I have chocolate on my face?!) with regards to how m&ms are chocking hazards for toddlers.

why didnt I care?

I told my son that I was keeping the candy in the house so that he could have some for his school lunches once a week. He hasn’t noticed that 2 or 3 pieces have been disappearing every day.

I haven’t worked out at all! I just seem to work, clean, care for kids and munch in between. I’m not making the time to work out. I’m annoyed as I sit watching The Biggest Loser.

My confession: yesterday I got out of the house exactly once, and that was only so I could walk to the movie store (less than 10 minutes away) to rent some chick flicks. Woo, lack of exercise!

PS Pre-confession: I made a pumpkin cake the other day. My roommate doesn’t like it. I think its very tasty. That + the nuts and bolts sitting in my kitchen will likely be demolished within the next day or two.

Well… it’s not exactly the same as trueconfessions since this isn’t anonymous but I’ll confess anyhow: I have a serious weakness for butterscotch and have eaten an entire bag of butterscotch chips over the past three days. Go sugar rush!

I haven’t worked out in 3 weeks. Ugh! I am going to start again TODAY. The weather isn’t awful so that makes it easier. I will go for a run in an hour.

Over the last 3 weeks I’ve probably had 4 turkeys, 2 hams, 3 pies, a butt load of sides and I haven’t worked out at all! Is it 2009 yet?

I’m going to eat emotionally tonite… and I’m owning up to it before hand :)

Went today to see a friend whose daughter was diagnosed with leukemia this weekend. It’s all about the ice cream tonite.

Can I bookmark this post and come back when I’ve done something worth confessing? My mind’s a blank right now :(

I’ve been dieting for the past two months and have lost 12 lbs. Those 12 lbs were lost during three weeks total, and the rest of the time I just didn’t go weigh-in. Oops.

Lol. These are so fun! I totally cheated during a DVD I was doing today by taking a break and blamed it on the dog — saying she needed to go out. I really just need a breather.

Yea, not that big of a confession, but it’s true!

It wants to be one of those kind of days. I had some delicious coconut/cinnamon/vanilla/ oatmeal this morning. That’s helped. I also took some extra B-12. I know I’m going to be busy tonight, and need to go make my self work out right now…will power…ok…I’m going to stop blogging and go do it.

My quest to eat a salad a day isn’t working this week. Too much other stuff is out there that’s so good.

However, today’s the day to get back on the salad train…………….:)

I just found your blog, but had to laugh at this post. I have been in a “holiday funk” this entire week. I have had an “event” or important thing to do 3 evenings this week and my to-do list keeps getting bigger. I confess I have only worked out once this week and because of that I am turning into quite the GRUMP!
