Feeling full from all that turkey and pie?
Me too, which is why my new Lee jeans are giving me extra
incentive to get MOVING more this holiday season. I received a pair of Lee® One True Fit Premium Bootcut jeans, which are fantastic, especially if they looked as good on me as they do on the model in this picture!
While they technically do fit me, they are a little snug. (translation: I can barely breathe!) I purposely ordered a size smaller than I normally wear as an incentive to keep me from gaining this holiday season. This is just the kick in the pants (pun intended) that I need. After all, who wants to sit around in super tight jeans?
So gang, I am encouraging you to go against the grain this holiday season and set a goal. Mine is to get my new jeans to fit comfortably, maybe even with a little bit of spare room.
This will require clean eating, consistent cardio, and hard work.
I plan to wear these jeans on January 1, which gives me 30 days to make it happen!
Want your own pair of new Lee Jeans? I have TEN pairs to give away to you! Enter the contest by leaving me a comment telling me what your fitness goal is this holiday season and how you are going to make it happen. This contest will be open until 12/12/08 at 9pm EST.
*edited to add the contest is open to US addresses only.
Get up and get moving gang!

Well, first of all – I guess this is one time I’m glad I don’t know many people in my new-ish town and I work from home so I am not as apt to eat goodies at gatherings or at work!
As far as exercise, Boot Camp is over for now, so my husband and I just joined a new gym and we love it. The best thing is they have great classes, which is what I must have in order to show up. Is that a goal?

I have some pretty lofty goals for myself these days. It looks something like this:
Run 2 hours a week.
Lift weights 1 hour a week.
Elliptical 5 hours a week.
I also want to do a 5K on New Years Eve.
How will I make this happen? Magic! OK…not really. The running will be easy since I have a group of running buddies that I meet with weekly to keep me motivated!
The weights and elliptical will be harder because it is all on me to hit the machines once the kids are in bed. I will use my running buddies as motivators/coaches with staying on track. I share with them my weekly exercise goals then report back to them at the end of each week on how I did. They are always very encouraging!! Workout buddies are the BEST!

I squeezed into my old skinny jeans just before thanksgiving. Now their getting baggy, and I could really use a new skinny pair to squeeze into. My goal it to be at 15% body fat by May 20th which is a big goal considering I was 24% two weeks ago.
My holiday goal is to lose 10 lbs of fat and gain 5 lbs of muscle get to 20% body fat percentage.
To get there I’ll be working out 5+ times a week with cardio every day and 3 days including resistance training. I’ll be eating a 40:30:30 ratio (Protein:Carb:Fat) to make sure my body has the fuel it needs to build muscle. I plan on wearing tighter jeans to parties because I’m less likely to over eat, and I’ll eat a healthy filling meal before I go. If I decide to enjoy some delicious favorites I’ll also plan on enjoying a extra workout on Saturday. I’m already seeing results and I’m very motivated (and sore). It simply feels better when I take care of my body, and it’s always nice to fit into those skinny jeans.
