Now is the time to put on your skinny jeans

by workoutmommy on December 1, 2008

Feeling full from all that turkey and pie?

Me too, which is why my new Lee jeans are giving me extra incentive to get MOVING more this holiday season. I received a pair of Lee® One True Fit Premium Bootcut jeans, which are fantastic, especially if they looked as good on me as they do on the model in this picture!

While they technically do fit me, they are a little snug. (translation: I can barely breathe!) I purposely ordered a size smaller than I normally wear as an incentive to keep me from gaining this holiday season. This is just the kick in the pants (pun intended) that I need. After all, who wants to sit around in super tight jeans?

So gang, I am encouraging you to go against the grain this holiday season and set a goal. Mine is to get my new jeans to fit comfortably, maybe even with a little bit of spare room.

This will require clean eating, consistent cardio, and hard work.

I plan to wear these jeans on January 1, which gives me 30 days to make it happen!

Want your own pair of new Lee Jeans? I have TEN pairs to give away to you! Enter the contest by leaving me a comment telling me what your fitness goal is this holiday season and how you are going to make it happen. This contest will be open until 12/12/08 at 9pm EST.
*edited to add the contest is open to US addresses only.

Get up and get moving gang!

I started eating less and smaller portions. It’s hard but it works.

I am going to be consistent about going to the gym and also try to have some self control in the “goodies” department! Easier said than done… especially at the in-laws!

My fitness goal is to be in better shape than my 82 year old grandparents. I swear they are in better shape than anyone else in the family! I would be thrilled to have a little less through the things/hips/rear. I don’t want to be tiny with a boyish figure, but I’d like to look in the mirror and think “Uh-huh!” I need to get back to exercising and eating in moderation.

hi, I am working on my new plan which started 12.1.08
my 7 7 49 plan – loose 7lbs a month for 7 months – resulting in 49 pounds lost… so I am tracking everything, food, feelings, tips, goals in my note book – which is now like a Bible to me!

My main goal is to get more motivation to keep moving and avoid all the temptations of the Holidays. I’m gonna do it!

My goal is to lose the holiday 5 instead of gaining them! I’m eating clean, except Christmas Day and a holiday party or two; and hitting the weights. I love strength training combined with cardio bursts. You might find me running in my neighborhood, too, if it’s not too cold. Smiles.

Hey you!!! My fitness goal is to melt away my muffin top so that I can look spectacular in my winter finery this holiday season.

I am still training 2x a week and teaching 3-4 classes but I need MORE. My challenge is to push past this fitness level into a new one. And to stay away from junk. And to not eat after 8pm.

ACK!

My goal is at least 20 minutes cardio every day in December. That means the exercise bike at home right now and I’m looking for a used treadmill on Craigslist because I’d rather be running.

I have been working out a lot. My goal is to get rid of my mommy tummy so I can wear a nice swimsuit. That’s my goal!

2008 was my big goal year, to get in good shape and I feel I have, and ranmy first half and full marathons. 2009, however, will be the GUT BUST year for me. I need to work on my core strength and get rid of the muffin top! I really love cardio and will do some crunches, but I need to work on my core for overall strength and health. I bought a stability ball and bands and have free weights and my Perfect Pushup bars at home. Hopefully I can do a lot of it at home after my morning runs…..you know, when the kids are running around me! :)

My fitness goal for December is to get my running miles up. I want to start training for my first marathon starting in January. (The marathon I want to do is in May) but I need to get my weekly mileage up. I did just finish an 1 hour run during my lunch break and I did 5 miles. I am hoping to run 6 miles on Sunday.

My fitness goal is to eat my normal very strict allergy diet food except at big celebrations. And, to start doing yoga with the kids in the morning. I don’t know if that will be slimming, but at least it will be something!!

My fitness goal during the holidays is to make sure I don’t gain weight and stpe up my workout a little. I want to go to the gym twice a week and pass on the snacks and desserts this season. It takes too long to lose what you might gain during the holidays.

My goal is to stay active during my the rest of my pregnancy and then to get fit quickly after baby arrives. More specifically, I’m hoping to run in a 5K within 6 months of giving birth. Signing up for a race always inspires me to get out there and get moving!

I love bootcut jeans, by the way. I definitely think they’re the most flattering style for my body type.

My goal is actually to just maintain my weight. It’s too hard to try to lose at this time of year. So, if I focus on staying the same I can get back to losing after the holidays.

My goal is to finish losing my baby weight from kiddo #2. I have about 8 lbs to go and I hope to lose most of it by January 1. I’m going to use my baby as a weight with a mommy and baby workout dvd and run on the treadmill during naptime. We recently finished our house projects, so now I won’t feel guilty doing something for myself during naptime instead of working on the house.

Hey, I just found your blog from Back In Skinny Jeans. I LOVE IT!
My fitness goal for this holiday season is to not gain a pound by, walking at least 30 minutes a day and utilize my gym membership by going at least once a week. (I, like many of us, am working mom. I work two desk jobs and joined a gym en-route to my 2nd job.)
My short term goal is to lose 15 pounds by valentines day! I’m not striving for “ideals”, I just want to be healthier and feel better.

My goal is to lose the 10 pounds that have crept up for the past 5 years. I did this really cool exercise where I had a talk with my body and it got me so motivated that I know I will be successful in losing it! I actually blogged about it..www.ParentingPowers.com/blog.

I have never felt this motivated about losing weight before. I would love a pair of skinny jeans..Turning 50 this year…I need a fashion boost.

I am a parent coach and I’d love to write about my success and teach other moms how to do what I did…we should all feel beautiful!

Oooh, pick me…pick me…don’t know how I missed this GREAT giveaway! I’m in the market for some new jeans and I also would love to lose a bit to get in a pair that I don’t have to pour myself into ;-)

I plan to get my butt back in the gym & hit up the elliptical and weights (I’m up half the night anyway, so why not spend part of it in the gym, hehe).

Thanks for a chance at this awesome giveaway!!

I’ve already dropped to 22% body fat percentage, and lost 4lbs since I entered the contest. I’m glad I set a short term “Holiday Goal“. It’s really helped me stay on track.

Only 2% more to go until Jan 1st & I’ll reach my “Holiday Goal”. Now, I’m even more motivated! Thanks! Workout Mommy!
