My health and fitness holiday wish list

by workoutmommy on November 17, 2008

The holidays are fast approaching and my mailbox has been flooded with toy catalogs. I give my son a crayon and tell him to circle the toys that he likes. This guarantees me 15 minutes of quiet time as he circles every single item in the catalog!

Battery Operated Thomas Track Rider? Circled!
Ryan‘s Room Fire Station
? Circled!
Holiday™ Barbie® Doll? Circled too!

I decided that I am going to virtually circle all of the fitness items that I would like to have. Hopefully someone out there is listening and taking notes!

BodyBugg: I have wanted one of these for a few years now, especially after it showed up on the arms of contestants for The Biggest Loser. I would also circle the digital display, which allows you to keep tabs on your data all day long. This would be a big motivator for me, especially to get me moving if my activity numbers were low toward the end of the day.

Personal Training: I am still looking for a fantastic, challenging trainer that is in my area. Any suggestions?

Gym membership: As my kids get older, it is becomes more difficult to workout around their schedule. (concurrent nap times has unfortunately become a thing of the past!) I need a quality gym with AMAZING childcare. What is your favorite (or least favorite) gym and why?

Meal delivery service: I am domestically challenged and would love to have healthy meals show up on my doorstep once a week. (Hey, a girl can dream, can’t she?) This one looks great. Or maybe a personal chef who comes to my house? Like this one? Has anyone had experience with meal delivery or personal chef services?

Massage: Every mom should be treated to a professional massage at least once a month. When was the last time you were pampered for an hour?

What is on your health and fitness wish list?

I will take, One gym membership to Gold’s (cause its close to my house). One totally awesome rice cooker (I’m borrowing my sisters). And one BLENDTEC blender. A massage would be nice too. One maid that can come weekly (or twice a week). A new couch (to lazily watch my favorite shows as a family ( or current situations only allows 3 people to have a seat while they watch tv and there are five in our family… I better stop, since I already saw my christmas present, and it was a sweater.

My number 1 wish right now is new running socks. Other than that, I’m with Miz! Although your massage idea sounds pretty darn nice. I feel weird about getting naked around strangers though. Yeah, I know.

Holiday wishes? No more toys! I’d like flat gifts like gift certificates for yoga classes or movie passes for the kids or tickets to a show. Things to do that would be a splurge but great for kids and us!

New workout shoes and clothes! I used to workout in oversized t-shirts and old sweatpants, but now I like to step it up a little bit. I’m more motivated in a cute, sexy outfit than baggy old clothes!

I keep telling myself I’m gonna get me a massage.
I have yet to do it. Hmmm.
That being said, the number one thing on my wish list for the past few years has been a nap.

I’m adding massage to my holiday wish list. :)

I also need some new running kicks!

And is it weird to add larabars to my wish list? They’d make really good stocking stuffers, right? hehe.

I would like a copy of the Wii My Fitness Coach. It looks fun. I already reach my max dollar amount for the year for video games, so it is going to have to wait.

I have an update on the BodyBugg for anyone who wants it … Starting November 26th at 12 noon through December 1st you will be able to get a BodyBugg for $149.50 (will require a subscription to web based tracking tool).

This is the lowest price at which the BB has ever been offered. I’ll have the link for the sale price on my blog http://www.CatapultFitnessBlog.com as soon as it’s available on 11/26/08, in case anyone is interested in purchasing one at this price.

That is a great deal, thanks Susan! I know they are offering 3 month subscriptions for free, does that not apply with this deal? Any idea if the digital displays will go on sale as well? :)

Lisa, 24 Hour Fitness is being a bit secretive about the details. I’m a Bodybugg Affiliate, so they keep me apprised of program updates.

The “sale” goes into effect on 11/26/08 at 12 noon. Other than what I posted above, I haven’t received any additional details as of yet.

If you like, as soon as I get the details on 11/26 I can email your Yahoo account. It will be around mid-day.

I know this AWESOME personal trainer! Her name is WorkoutMommy and she’ll make you do sqauts and lunges all over the neighborhood to get your post baby butt in shape, hehe.

That massage sounds nice too :)

I think I want what you want. Not sure if I want the body bug though–don’t like too much information. I do already have the awesome gym with great childcare (And I will plug, it’s Life Time Fitness). The massage would be heavenly. Mark is right. Why not weekly? I have NO problem getting naked for a massage!

I would love the gift of 2-3 pilates classes per week, a personal trainer, hand weights for running, and a new workout wardrobe! Is that too much to ask? :)

I would love to be able to afford Adventure Boot Camp again. I was doing so much better and yes I did get up at 5am just to go and work out. It was madness but I felt great.

I would love to have a personal trainer. We use to go to Yoga and I love it but she moved away and they recently sold the facility.

Right now I would love to have a stretch and massage. Have you had a professional stretch? It’s AWESOME! Oh and those hot stones yes, and some reflexology to top it off. I can dream.

I would love to have meals delivered or a personal chef to cook healthy meals for my family. Ahhh
