Hi, I just got back from hitting the treadmill in the workout room at the hotel and I’m definitely feeling more awake. I like a treadmill with its own TV screen – got my CNN fix. They also had those wet towels in a fridge that feel so good on my face and neck after a workout. And I didn’t feel rushed to get back to everything else like I do at home.

Some advantages to being away from home but I am missing and worrying about the kids and feeling a little guilty about leaving them even though I know they’re having fun with their Grandy.

I just did 25 minutes on the treadmill. Exercising is a great mood booster. For some reason people don’t believe me.

And now I’m off to go play at the pumpkin farm with my daughter’s kindergarten class (talk about a workout!)

Got the three kids to school/preschool and went directly to a favorite running spot to get 4 quick miles in BEFORE errands! Made the errands feel like less of a chore — even if I didn’t manage a shower until 3:45pm!

Not entering either, but just have to say that I had a major case of the “I dun wanna” but went anyway saying to self, “Just do 10 minutes” of anything. I ended up doing 45 min of cardio, and was so happy. I believe the short time is enough to get you over the resistance monster.

I went to the gym today and FINALLY added weight machines to my workout. I don’t know why I’m intimidated to move beyond a cardio workout but I have no more excuses after today.

I just did 30 minutes of Prevention – Belly, Butt, and Tighs. I love working out to videos at home. And some of the older videos in my collection do feature women wearing the leotards and legwarmers.

Even though I had already run/walked for an hour before reading this, I STILL took 15 minutes for some one-legged dead lifts and balancing poses to get rid of the kinks in my low back. Guess what, those 15 minutes worked like a charm. And what else? I did them at NIGHT (while watching Biggest Loser–nothing like a little Jillian to get you off the couch:-)

I don’t know if it’s the actual exercise or just the self-satisfaction of having made myself move that helps the mood.
