Don’t think about it, just do it

female-jogger-morro-bay-coleman-avenueThe window repairman said he would be here in 45 minutes. This happened to fall in my ONLY window of opportunity to exercise today. Much needed exercise, for both my mind and my body.

I contemplated it all for a second: I’d have to change the baby, get my clothes from upstairs, fill my water bottle, get the baby’s snacks and toys, etc.

Or I could just get up, grab the jogger and go. I could seize the moment for what it was:

the only moment I was going to get today.

That is precisely what I did and I feel FANTASTIC! I am sweaty and gross, but I feel 10 times better than I did 30 minutes ago! I think I even have time to do some planks and stretch.

Seize your moment today gang! Don’t think about it, just do it!

So, so true! Can’t tell you how many times I’ve (as I’m sure we all have) faced the same dilemma. Can’t tell you how many times I’m so glad I picked my sorry self up and went for it–makes all the difference in body, mind and soul.

Good for you! Even once in a while I’ll feel really sluggish, but I figure a lousy workout is at least better than no workout.

Awesome mantra! You did good!! Sweaty and gross beats the alternative in my book.

Yay for you! I have been trying to do this more lately. Rather than get stuck in my “have to exercise at 5 AM” some mornings I, gasp, sleep in and take the baby out in the stroller! And the runs are actually HELPING my time, so go figure ;0) Glad you enjoyed it!
