Staying up to date on fitness

by workoutmommy on August 1, 2008

I am spending my weekend attending DCAC, a fantastic convention for personal trainers and group fitness instructors. Here is where we learn new ways to torture challenge our clients and try out new ideas. It is a long day of fitness and instruction, but definitely worth it.

So while I am learning new ways to swing my kettlebell and all about Sergeant Ken’s Fit Camp, what will YOU be doing this weekend?

Now that sounds like fun! We’re packing up and heading to the beach for a week starting this weekend. I will be glad I stuck to my workout-and-healthy eating guns, because I have twelve pounds I won’t be bringing along with me! Hooray!!!

Oh, Lisa. That is SO cool! Have a great time. Make sure you let us know how it went! We have no plans this weekend set in stone. My brother and his 2nd son on the 27th of July, so we plan to go visit them. Just hoping the weather is gorgeous so we can spend some time outside! :)
Best – Audrey

Hubby and I have plans to go to Spin class tomorrow (60 min. ride) and Sunday (50 min. ride). I have to be honest, I haven’t been interested in going to the Sat. class because it just feels like it’s too much although most times I do feel good afterwards. I would like for hubby to work on the bikes we bought and have not used yet so we could take a ride at the park.

Have a great time at the convention. Sounds like fun!

I’m jealous. I love fitness conventions.

I’ll be writing, cleaning and enduring a baseball game in 90+ heat. Time to bust out the cooler!

Well, I can tell you what I will NOT be doing! That would be standing upside down on my hand and Gorbie (the kettlebell) like this picture!
My plan is one kettlebell workout, one swim session and hopefully one long walk. But your weekend sounds way, way fun!

OK, I am going to have to invest in this kettleball I keep hearing so much about! Planning on possibly swimming today, maybe a spin class this weekend… but definitely will keep moving! Go team Twit Fit!

Trying not to think about the weekend. Just more of the same.

Softball, running, hopefully lots of swimming to get my kids tired.

Hi! I just found your site and am very happy that I did so.

On Saturday I will be running about $2.75 miles.
Sunday…I think I will swim laps for 30 minutes.
