Activities for your spare time

by workoutmommy on May 14, 2008

Have some spare time today? Here is a quick list of 10 things to get done during your down time.

  1. write a guest post for me!
  2. 25 push ups
  3. jump rope for 5 minutes
  4. 25 tricep dips on the coffee table
  5. 30 seconds of mountain climbers
  6. 25 crunches
  7. 15 squats
  8. 15 walking lunges
  9. hold a low plank for 30 seconds
  10. close your eyes and relax for 5 minutes

Did you do them all yet? Great, I can’t wait to get all your guest posts!

I am going on vacation the first week of June and could use some fresh ideas and different torture workout routines for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are a mom or not, I would love to hear from you!

Email me here. Thanks! (and if you still have spare time, do all of the above one more time!)

i should have noted my sarcasm with the spare time bit! :) I will resort to begging and bribing, if necessary. (and although i’m not complaining about getting to go on vacation, my hubby booked where we will have no internet. No internet! it almost brings tears to my eyes!)

Ugh….I’m so out of shape. Doing 1 thing on that list will take all my energy. Except relaxing for 5 minutes of course :)

Spare time? Hmm…never heard of it. :)

But thanks for the motivation to get active. We ran 3 miles today around our neighborhood. Much needed.

At the risk of sounding like a zen-head, I like to remind myself to breather deeply, expecially when I’m getting all crazy worked up with writing. I notice I simply STOP breathing! Crazy and bad.

I like that MizFit trusts us enough to admit to no shower yet. I’m right there with her :-)

I do not know what mountain climbers are but the rest of these things are great.

With the weekend coming it would be nice to make a list of a bunch of 1 minute workouts that could be done at the park or at home or in the car going to the mall.

Thanks for the list!

Nice Tips! These are some great activities for exercise beginners or when there is not enough time to get in a full workout. We are all so busy, especially mommies, it is hard enough to get in a minute to breath let alone exercise.
