Does Mommy Love It is hosting a group writing project asking readers to write about a family product they cannot live without.

For me, that family product is my double jogging stroller. While you might not think this is a family product, it definitely is for me.

My double jogger allows me and my kids to get outside during the day when cabin fever is getting the best of us. It allows me to stay healthy for my family because pushing 50 pounds of squirming boys is one heckuva workout!

It gives me the opportunity to do sprints because my 2 year old, also known as my pint sized track coach, is always yelling for me to go faster. (which is very embarrassing when other runners pass us!) Look kid, mommy cannot keep up with them, but she is trying!

My double jogger helps me transport my kids to the local park, which always puts a smile on their faces. I pack it full of snacks and toys so that on days when I just need to get out of the house, it lets me walk for miles.

The double jogger has become the ultimate family product by getting my husband interested in running. On the weekends, we take the kids and the stroller up the local middle school track and take turns running laps.

My double jogging stroller helps keep me and my family fit, healthy, and sane. It was definitely one of the best purchases I have made so far!

Love your choice. I wish I had a jogging stroller for hiking.
I too have a little coach/supervisor… got to love that!

Can’t live without my double jogger!

I love this idea - I have thought about purchasing a single one for those reasons!

Sounds fantastic. I never got a jogger and really regret it, but now I can’t keep the little one’s in any stroller. We’ve given them up all together. They do love to run though and it’s great to get out side for their challenges.

Definitely a family product… and kudos to you for working out so hard… i know very well how hard running with that load can be :) Thanks for joining the group writing contest!

I hear ya! I have two double strollers, a jogger and a sit-n-stand (the jogger also converts to a bike trailer, which is great). They have been lifesavers! Sometimes I’ll just take my kids for a walk in a nice downtown area nearby, and push them in the stroller. They love it, and it’s quite a good workout for me,lol!

We have a single now, but soon we’ll need a double. I was a little concerned a double might be hard to maneuver, but it sounds like it’s working for you. Thanks.

What a great workout! I tried out my girlfriend’s (single) jogging stroller with her and her baby and the two of us were freakng huffing and puffing the whole time. True, it was the first time she’d ever used it and we couldn’t get it to turn but still, tough workout and a nice way to give her baby some fresh air/help her fall fast asleep.

Hello Lisa! Thanks for stopping by my blog…appreciate it. Yes, sleep training is difficult, but can I encourage you that it will be worth it. I’m going to email you with how our results have gone.

My husband always wanted a job stroller because of the big wheels that you could take anywhere.

My double jogger with the front swivel wheel has been my absolute favorite for the past almost 3 years now!
