It’s Monday gang, which means it is time to start moving! Move it Monday is a way to get a fresh and active start to our week so let’s get started!

This week is Thanksgiving here in the US so we need to do some preemptive damage control. Let’s ramp our cardio and commit to doing at least 30 minutes of intense cardio today.

No excuses, you can find 30 minutes of your day to take care of yourself!

Your level of effort should be intense. This means you are sweating, heart is beating like a champ, and you are thinking “this is tough!” Once you get to that point, you have reached the correct level of intensity! Remember, it’s the tough part that makes it so much fun! And yes, exercise and fitness is fun, so let’s not forget that.

On a more scientific level, we should exercise at the higher end of our heart rate zone today. The quick and easy (although not exactly accurate) way to determine your heart rate zones is here.

My goal will be to exercise around 80-85% of my max today. What will yours be? If the weather holds, I will go out for a run. If not, I will do my workout on the bike. What kind of exercise will you do?

Get moving gang. Report back here and let me know what you did and how much fun it was!

How can you resist a fun Workout Mommy tee?

    About Me

In my life before kids, I was a personal fitness trainer and self proclaimed fitness junkie. I loved the 5am workouts and evening strength training sessions. Now that I'm a mom, my life is filled with 5am feedings and piles of laundry. I've let my fitness slip and this blog will hopefully provide motivation to help myself (and YOU!) get back in shape. I want to be fit, be healthy, and be happy! No more excuses....it's time to workout mommy!

    Be nice!
