Nothing beats the mid-week blues better than some walking lunges! walkinglung.jpg

Lunges are an excellent exercise for strengthening and shaping our legs and glutes. (If you are unsure of how to do a proper walking lunge, brush up on your form here).

I am pledging to do 100 walking lunges today, how about you? Wait! Do not gasp and close your browser window just yet!

Keep this in mind– you do not have to do these all at once! That is the best part about lunges, they can be done anywhere and anytime. (or all the time!)

My plan is to do 4 sets of 25 walking lunges over the course of my day.

Need an extra challenge? Make those lunges more difficult by carrying dumbbells or a weighted medicine ball with you. Again, always pay attention to your form. If you feel that is slipping, take a break from the exercise. Please don’t ever sacrifice form when performing any exercise. Repeat after me: Form is king. Quantity is queen.

Get moving gang and let me know how it goes!

Does holding a baby count? If so, I’m in.

I did my lunges yesterday and today and my butt HURTS!! (But it’s totally in a good, I’m-gonna-get-my-body-back-if-it-kills-me kind of way.) I hold my 6mo old while I do it and she loves it, smiling and giggling the whole time. LOL!
